PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL SAYS SPRING IS NEAR!
Even though it may still be cold, damp and miserable outdoors, an occasional dose of sunshine could certainly put the gardening bug into you. With a little luck, Mother Nature will send a few blossoms your way toward the end of this month. We are now at a time when we can begin to plan those garden projects that we put off last year. Now is a great time to visualize sunshine and color! The Philadelphia Flower Show will be here in early March and this is always a kick off to spring! Shrubs and trees Winter is not over yet....storms with heavy snow and ice may have damaged your trees and shrubs. You should contact Keystone Gardens to have these damaged trees and shrubs pruned right away! Sometimes if they are neglected, they can cause larger problems such as power outages and damage to the rest of your property when heavy branches break and fall. Most deciduous shrubs and trees are still dormant enough to transplant this month, once the buds have begun to swell, it will be too late. Trees which weren't fed last fall should be deep fed. February is the beginning of early mulching season! Did you know that we sell Landscape Materials such as Mulch and Topsoil….we even Deliver!
