Mainline Garden & Landscaping Mulches

Using mulch provides many benefits to your landscape and gardens including:

  • Inhibits weed growth which steals resources and nutrients from your garden plants.
  • Retains soil moisture, protecting your plants from drying out and reducing your water consumption during dry months.
  • Keeps the soil-temperature moderate, most important in spring when weather is turbulent and plants can be stressed.
  • Keeps plant roots cooler in the heat of the summer.
  • Adds nutrients to the soil and surrounding plants as the mulch breaks down.

Excess mulch should be removed from beds and tree rings each year. Fresh mulch should be applied to beds between 2 and 3 inches thick.

Double Premium Mulch

This quality dark hardwood mulch is affordable, looks neat and attractive, stays where you put it and is slow to decay.

Organic Black Mulch

This quality mulch is organic and is dyed black with a non-toxic zinc based organic paint which stays black the longest, ensuring your gardens look neat and attractive longer.

How Do I Calculate How Much Mulch I Need?

Mulch is only sold by the cubic yard. Customers will ask you how much they need. You can give them an estimated quantity based on the total square feet of the area needed to be covered. Ask them to measure the length and width of the areas. Area = Length x Width.

Formula: Total Square Feet (.25)/27 = Total Yards

Example: Bed is 25’x4’ = 100 Sq. Ft.(.25)/27 = .92 Yards or 1 Yd.

No worries, we have a mulch calculator online. Simply enter your dimensions and we'll tell you how many yards to order.
